The objective of the design team is to satisfy the rules and regulations given in the rulebook along with special considerations given to the safety of the occupant, ease of manufacturing, cost weight, and overall aesthetics and performance. Our project vision is to develop a technically sound and conceptually engineered quad bike that includes design, analysis and methodology followed and consideration made in the entire design process. The purpose of this competition is to simulate a real-world engineering design report in which collegiate teams design and manufacture a prototype of a rugged, single-seated off-road recreational vehicle intended for sale to the non – professional weekend off-road enthusiast. The design should be durable, safe, and easy to maintain and must be able to negotiate rough terrain in all weather conditions.
